I'm a self-taught local artist living in Cairns, Australia. I returned to painting and drawing ~10 years ago, but have only very recently begun to exhibit and sell my work. I produce oil and monochrome charcoal/pastel works and have obtained multiple first place awards for both media in local exhibitions.

My preference is to work 'en plein air' or 'from life', as I feel it adds an extra dimension to the finished works, but I also use high quality reference photographs
